The Yogi Times - News
Jordanna Campbell | JUN 23, 2022
Welcome to 'The Yogi Times' my first ever newsletter! 🙌 I am so happy to write it and to have people to 📧 it to.
This week, as many of you know, was Summer Solstice and we had a glorious ☀️ practice in the park in Barrow. I'm disappointed that I forgot to take any photos. I was too caught up in the moment and trying unsuccessfully to make the technology work. I honestly did charge everything with a battery in it before the event! 😂 Which reminds me, does anyone know how to fix my stupid printer?
It was such a lovely event and so beautiful practicing outside that I'm going to continue offering a park session for the next 4 weeks. It's only for the next 4 weeks because after that I'll be in the Abbey Gardens at 6pm on Tuesday's for 5 weeks leading FREE sessions as part of the 'Abbey 1000' celebrations https://www.visit-burystedmunds.co.uk/abbey-1000
EVERYBODY should come to those. Apart from being free, practicing yoga amidst the ruins of an ancient historical site, a pilgrimage destination where monks meditated, is going to bring a pretty special energy to the event.
I will send further details about these sessions very soon.

New Beginners Class - Unitarian Meeting House
Really excited to be starting a new daytime class!
It will start on Wednesday 7th September at 9:30. It's created for people who like exercise but have never done yoga, as well as for people who enjoy a more accessible practice.
It's going to start from the very beginning, taking time to build the foundations. It will include strength, flexibility, balance, breathing and meditation. It's not on my website yet but you can always let me know if you're interested.
More details coming soon.
Online 30 Day Challenge - September
I always think of September as the real New Year. It's the beginning of the school year. Rosh Hashona (the Jewish New Year) often falls in September. And the holiday season feels done. Even though summer isn't technically over, we know winter is coming 🥶🥶🥶.
Maybe because of all of this, it always feels like a great time to establish a routine. So, I'm offering a 30 day challenge!
The challenge is - 30 days of yoga at 7:00 am. Well it's not actually 30... I bottled out of doing weekends. I decided you could take a good thing too far. We'll see how this challenge goes first. Maybe we'll do weekends as well next time...
The details of this challenge are currently swirling around my head. By the middle of August the swirl will have become a plan, and the plan will have a timetable attached, complete with a daily timetabled theme.
This will be a donation, pay-what-you-want event. You can turn up as much or as little as you want. Look on it as an experiment in seeing how early-morning yoga works for you.
Summer Fitness Fiesta
Can't give you any details yet, but my lovely friend Kirsteen Ellis of PE Fitness and I are plotting a joint extravaganza in August. There will be yoga, pilates and dancing at the very least.
Places you can find me:
Looking forward to seeing you here, there and everywhere.
Have great weekends,
Love Jordanna
